The race will be held on September 7, 2024. Since 2009, this annual race serves as an opportunity to bring together 500+ runners, walkers, and volunteers in an uplifting community event.
The Helene Cody Cranbury 5K began in 2009 as a way to honor and celebrate Helene Cody, a joyful and caring young woman who planned to reinstate the Cranbury 5K as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Helene tragically passed away on her 16th birthday of a brain aneurysm, but her generous spirit lives on through the work of the Helene Cody Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity (Tax ID: 80-0543296).
With community support, the Helene Cody Foundation has been able to provide scholarships, awards, financial support, mentoring, and training to students who are designing and leading their own community service projects. The mission of the foundation is to inspire youth to volunteer to better their communities and themselves.
Any amount of donation is welcomed and appreciated, and there are opportunities for sponsorship at the diamond, platinum, gold, or silver level. At each of these sponsor levels, you will increase your visibility and engagement with the community while giving back by allowing students to complete high-impact community service projects. In addition, sponsors are entitled to a range of benefits that are outlined below.
