  • The 5K is suitable for anyone from a recreational walker to an elite competitor. It is a flat and fast chip-timed, USATF certified course through the beautiful shaded parks and neighborhoods of Cranbury. There is a water station that is passed twice during the race.
  • The roads will be closed during the race but please stay on the course and exercise common sense.
  • Walkers are welcome and strollers are welcome! We ask that you start all the way in the back of the pack if you plan to walk. The average 5K finish time is around 28:00. For the 5K, please line up in the back half of the pack if you plan on starting at a pace of 9:00/mile or slower. Please reserve the front row for those starting at a pace of 6:00/mile or faster. FAQ

What happens if it rains?
We are ON rain or shine! In the event of thunder, there may be a delayed start.
Can I switch my giveaway (t-shirt size, etc.)?
Unfortunately, no. The shirts and bottles are reserved for those who ordered them, and there is no ability to switch sizes on race day.
Can I change my registration?
Runners can switch from the 5K event to the 1 Mile Fun Run event at no extra cost. Runners cannot switch from the 1 Mile Fun Run to the 5K.
What time should I arrive?
  • For those that did not attend packet pickup, plan to arrive at the parking lot at least 50 minutes prior to your race (this would be by 7:25 AM for 1 Mile Fun Run and by 8:10 for the 5K). This will allow enough time to walk over to the park, wait in the check-in line, and attend pre-race festivities.
  • For those that have already picked up their bib and shirt/bottle giveaway at packet pickup, plan to arrive at the parking lot at least 30 minutes prior to your race (this would be by 7:45 AM for 1 Mile Fun Run and by 8:30 for the 5K). This will allow enough time to walk over to the park, attend pre-race festivities, and assemble at the line for a prompt start.
  • THERE WILL BE SUBSTANTIAL LINES FOR THE PORTA POTTIES IN THE MINUTES PRIOR TO THE 5K! PLEASE COME EARLY TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME.
What are we fundraising for?
The Helene Cody Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides funding, leadership training, mentorship, and scholarships for high school students who lead a substantial community service project. These teens are selected for their character and leadership ability. We also fund a number of additional youth volunteer efforts throughout the year.
What are some other fun activities to do that day?
  • Our pre- and post-race festivities feature an awards ceremony for the 100+ winners, raffle prize drawing, giveaway drawstring bags from PREA, and free food and music!
  • Cranbury Day, the town's festival, takes place on Main Street until 4pm. This will feature many vendors and food/shopping options.
